There’s plenty of action in BloodRayne: Red Blood Run #2 — if you picked up Raw II, you’ve already gotten a taste — but I think some of the best parts are the lighter moments, particularly those between Rayne and her old friend Valerio. (You’ll meet him in Issue 1, which should be in stores July 5. With Valerio, Troy’s created my favorite supporting character in the BloodRayne universe.)

Here’s one of those moments, when Rayne and Valerio share an elevator ride to — well, that would be telling.

   If reaction to Valerio is good, I wouldn’t mind seeing a spin-off series.

   With his background, and his personality, Valerio has a ton of story potential.
