This time last year we were running a Kickstarter to help fund our first Fist of Justice collection. It was a astounding success or we wouldn’t be attempting to try and fund our second volume. But it sure wasn’t easy. Mike and I definitely worked for it. And by the time it was finished, a big sigh of relief overcame us. We actually were funded with 3 days to spare but were so drained from the experience we just didn’t have the energy to keep pushing on the final days of the campaign.
We feel like that now and we’re only 26 days away until the funding deadline. Kickstarting ain’t easy. When people say it’s like a full time job, they sure aren’t kidding. But you have to do what you have to do if you want to be rewarded in the end, right?
This past weekend I was lucky enough to attend the JetPack Comics FCBD event in Rochester, NH. The experience was great and I got to talk to a lot of people. I’m sure we picked up some new Fist of Justice fans and if you’re one of them, feel free to zap me a note. I’m still waiting to hear what the attendance numbers were but it’s gotta be in the thousands.
Next weekend I’m preparing for Haverhill’s first comic con at the Public Library. It sure will be a new experience which I’ll share when I get back.
In the meantime, thanks to all that are currently supporting our Kickstarter (http://kck.st/1J54P3e) and if you haven’t jumped on board yet, why not? You’ll really dig this collection.
